The love of teaching has been in my family for decades! My great grandmother was a teacher in Churchville, Iowa. My grandmother taught in a one room schoolhouse in Eastern Kansas. So choosing a profession that appealed to me was easy. After graduating from McNeese with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, I began teaching at Welsh Elementary in 1984. My husband and I have raised four wonderful children, two girls and two boys! I have taught second grade; Title 1 Reading Lab for third, fourth, and fifth grades; and my love of all... third grade! I was the Welsh Elementary 4-H Club sponsor for 21 years. Our club won Jefferson Davis Parish Outstanding Club for every one of those years! I love to hear from the children I've taught. I'm very proud to have taught teachers, farmers, doctors, nurses, pipe fitters, mechanics, business owners, engineers, truck drivers, city workers, bus drivers, coaches, lawyers, janitors, secretaries, accountants, social workers, and employees of so many fields. And they all remember that Mrs. Daniel loves them all!
